Cadburys and Huntingdon

I'm back, sorry I haven't posted,if I miss one post then I seem to  miss quite a few. There wasn't an internet connection at Westpoint,Exeter so that was the start of it.
Enjoyed the show, plenty of shopping to do ,more Spellbinders added to my collection, an IndigoBlu stamp and some Slim Jims.
Talking of IndigoBlu,had a message from Kay recently asking if I could do a couple of demos for her at a Garden and Leisure Garden centre. Well I wasn't going to say no was I,just happened to be free that weekend. The thing was the Saturday one was at Cadburys near Bristol, probably the furthest I had ever driven. Up until 3 years ago I had never been on a motorway even though I had been driving for over 20 years. This freelance business has certainly made me push my limits in lots of different ways. With many thanks to Debbie and the other staff a great day was had by all.
Sunday was a little closer to home,Huntingdon,I've demoed here before in a previous life, so I knew Sue and some of her fellow staff. I can rely on Sue for a welcome cup of tea, thanks Sue.

It was great fun showing customers at both centres how to use the Flitterglu and Mega flakes along with some new Christmas stamps. I also demonstrated how to use the glue with glitter and microbeads.
This was the first sample I made using Kraft card ,wreath stamp and my favourite at the moment the Royal Peacock Mega flakes. For the wording I used Chariots of fire, the edge of which I inked around  with Antique Linen Distress. Of course Spellbinders had to come into it so out came the circles and Grand Labels.
Anybody going to the Kettering show ? I'll let you know in later posts what Kay has new to tempt you,

  1. Morning Karen, I can see you put your mega flakes to good use on this card, absolutely beautiful. I bought some of the flitter glu and mega flakes, but haven't tried them yet.
Did you get any 'free samples' when you demoed at Cadburys ha ha !!
I am going to Kettering Show, it will take me 4 hours on 3 trains to get there, but I'm really looking forward to it, see you there, hopefully.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
