Lavish Blooms

Well I'm just about recovered from being at the Farnborough for the weekend and then an early start on Monday, looking after my Granddaughter.
Really enjoyed the Make It show, it always has such a great atmosphere, lovely customers, friendly staff and the catering, well no complaints there. The weather behaved to a point, at least we could bring the vans in on Thursday for set up. Only one bad point, the sweet stand which you had to pass on the way to the catering, wouldn't be right not to buy some would it. Lol
I did get a chance to have a look round in the morning before opening and of course build up my crafty stash, ribbon, felt, card stock , air dried clay etc...........
Last night was the launch of the new Tattered Lace POD, Lavish Blooms. Loved these, so many ways to use them, even stamping............ die cut the whole shapes in funky foam, then use Stick and Spray, attach to an acrylic block, apply ink , I used Distress Ink and stamp.

I've posted on Facebook the following two photos for the launch of the Lavish Blooms,

All the flowers and leaves were cut from felt using the dies , even the stamens. The headband I brought from Riverside Beads. I've lost count how many presenters including Nancy have tried this on. Who do you think looked good in it ?

This took some time to do , but what a result . The flowers were cut from a handmade paper pack a friend brought me years go. The polystyrene ring I brought from J & C Creations along with the Silver Crushed ribbon which I used to cover the ring. Thanks also to Trish from Ribbon Box for the thin silver ribbon to hang it with.
More samples to follow tomorrow.
Happy Crafting

  3. Hi Karen. I love the beautiful pieces that you have made. I agree with Kitty, I think that Dawn was prettiest too (I also agree about a certain one! ) The flower circle must have taken a lot of handle turning! Well worth it though : ) Take care.
